Academic experience

Teaching, supervision and academic leadership.

Teaching and academic development

I have taught at the University of Vigo since 2000 across undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels. My teaching has evolved from a broad portfolio in management, public administration, communication and engineering programmes toward a more concentrated focus on strategic management, international business and research methodology.

Current teaching profile

My principal teaching responsibilities are in Business Administration and Economics, including strategic management, international business and advanced research design. At postgraduate level, I contribute to master’s and doctoral training in business strategy, internationalization and empirical methods.

International and visiting teaching

I have been invited to teach in national and international postgraduate programmes, including KEDGE Business School in Marseille, the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo.

Research methods

A substantial part of my teaching and supervision concerns rigorous social-science methodology. This includes systematic literature reviews, meta-analysis, longitudinal modelling, multilevel analysis, simulation and theory-driven empirical design.

Supervision principle. Methodological sophistication is useful only when it sharpens the theoretical question, clarifies temporal ordering and improves the credibility of inference.
